Description
The Truck Radio Calais MP48 is a radio device with CD drive that is designed for operation in a commercial vehicle (truck) with 24-V electrical system and for the installation in a 1-DIN slot.
In addition, the CD changer CDC A08 T (order no. 7 607 274 002), the CD changer IDC A09 (order no. 7 607 274 005), the USB interface (order no. 7 607 541 576) or other audio devices can be connected to the radio as optional equipment (not part of the scope of delivery).
The selected audio sources are shown on the display.If the radio is switched off, the Calais MP48 can be switched on with the "On/Off tipper", the vehicle ignition, insert-ing a CD, the telephone (option) or the IR remote control (option).The device is equipped with a four-digit code number for protection against theft.
Basic Functions and values can be adjusted in a main menu and a separate audio menu.Besides the general radio functions, such as station seek tuning, storing, scanning stations, radio data system (RDS), programme type (PTY), radio text and audio functions, such as sound and balance, the device is equipped with a noise-dependent volume adjustment (GALA).
The radio reception can regionally be switched between EUROPA and NAFTA (North America/Mexico).7 levels (FM1, FM2, FMT, MW, MWT, LW, LWT or AM and AMT) each with 6 memory locations are available for stor-ing stations.
The built-in CD drive allows playing commercially available audio CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs (Ø 12 cm) with MP3 and WMA ? les.MP3 music ? les can be played via the Calais MP48 by using the USB interface (order no. 7 607 541 576).
The radio can control the MP3 player and show ID3 tags on the display.Rear loudspeakers can be connected via and additional ampli? er that is connected to the chamber C1 Pin 1-3.
The volume balance can be adjusted via FAD in the audio menu.
The Calais MP48 is also equipped with a preampli? er output (C1 Pin 4+5), to which an amplifier can be connected for operating a subwoofer.
The subwoofer function is adjusted in the AUD menu.
After switch-off, all adjusted values and functions remain stored.
